Lanka Dairies is the pioneer in UHT based milk production in Srilanka. Established as the first tetra plant in SriLanka it specializes in manufacturing and distributing of Ultra High Temperature (UHT) dairy products to the market. Its core products include UHT treated full cream, non-fat liquid milk, flavoured milk as well as fruit drinks. The milk and other beverage products manufactured under the company are distributed under the brands Ambewala, DAILY, My Juicee and Suddhi.
United Dairies Lanka Ltd. (UDL)
United Dairies Lanka (Pvt) Ltd (UDL) operates two state-of-the-art dairy farms, ALC Farm and PLC Farm, focusing on advanced dairy management and high milk yields. Established in 2018 with a Rs. 4.8 billion investment, UDL features climate-controlled cattle sheds, in-house feed preparation, and fully automated milking parlours by DeLaval Sweden. Milk is hygienically stored at 4°C before processing. By enhancing herd expansion, premium feed, and specialized veterinary care, UDL aims to meet growing fresh milk demand with a premium milk offering. Visitors to New Zealand Farm can tour the modern milking parlour at Pattipola Farm.
Ambewela Products (Pvt) Ltd.
The company is responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of top household dairy products in Sri Lanka. It’s product portfolio includes UHT treated flavoured milk(chocolate and vanilla), yogurt, yoghurt drinks , butter, ghee as well as Edam, Gouda, Processed , Parmesan , Mozarella and Cheeese Spread. The company is in the process of an expansion program to further increase its capacity and strengthened its market offerings.
Ambewela Livestock (Pvt) Ltd.
The Ambewela Farm situated in the district of Nuwara Eliya is the core establishment under this company. It is solely responsible for supplying cow’s milk exclusively to the group companies. The farm is maintained according to the highest quality standards with ryegrass imported from New Zealand that provides superior feed to the two most productive dairy cow species in the world; Ayrishire and Friesian.
Pattipola Livestock (Pvt) Ltd.
Pattipola Livestock Private Limited operates the Pattipola Farm, more famously known as the New Zealand Farm. This farm that is also situated in Nuwara Eliya provides high quality cow milk to the group companies. Additionally, the farm attract local and foreign visitors and provides them the opportunity to experience the processes of a dairy farm through its daily excursion programs. Over the years, the Pattipola farm has become one of the key tourist attractions in the area. New Zealand farm is open for visitors from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on all 365 days of the year.
